This year’s poster was the product of a close collaboration between myself and Navin Chettri, Manager of the LHJF. Navin had felt particularly drawn to visualizing the Palouse’s natural beauty in a musical context, which resonated with me too. Through several iterations, our shared vision took shape as a dramatically lit scene, showcasing the Palouse’s rolling hills and some familiar U of I sights, where various instrument silhouettes are incorporated into crop row patterns, swirling atmosphere, and this year’s logo itself.
The University of Idaho, Moscow, and the greater Palouse has no lack of iconic landmarks. Here are a few that were incorporated into the poster setting.
The Palouse is famous for its rolling hills which become a patchwork of emeralds, ambers, and yellows in the Spring.

While I was 3000 miles away in Maine, the poster reveal event took place at City Hall in downtown Moscow. Some of my family and friends were sweet enough to attend on my behalf and filmed the various musical performances, poster reveal, and some truly flattering introductions of my work which marked the occasion.
